Brian O. Underhill, Ph.D., PCC

Founder and CEO

Brian is an industry-recognized expert in the design and management of worldwide executive coaching implementations, and a prominent author and speaker. He is the Founder of CoachSource and the Alexcel Group, and previously spent 10 years managing executive coaching operations for Marshall Goldsmith. Brian's most recent book is Mastering Executive Coaching (Routledge, 2019), co-edited with Marshall Goldsmith and Jonathan Passmore. Brian is also the author of Executive Coaching for Results: The Definitive Guide to Developing Organizational Leaders (Berrett Koehler, 2007). 

Brian is an internationally sought-after speaker, with past presentations at many conferences around the world, including International Coach Federation (ICF), European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), Asia Pacific Alliance of Coaches (APAC), Society for Consulting Psychology (SCP), Society for Industrial Organizational Psychology (SIOP), The Conference Board (TCB), Worldwide Business and Executive Coaching Forum (WBECS), Linkage, and regional ICF, ASTD, SHRM HRPS, PCMA events.

He resides in Silicon Valley where he enjoys playing music as a worship leader, racquetball and spending time with his family.

Education/Trainings/Certifications

Brian has a Ph.D. and an M.S. degree in psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology (Los Angeles) and a B.A. in psychology from the University of Southern Califorina. He also has a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coach Federation. In addition, Brian holds Advanced Certification in the Goldsmith Coaching Process.
